Who you're agreeing with

WatchHabit is operated by 41.22 Inc., doing business as Boomerang Byte (“we,” “us,” “our”). Boomerang Byte is the brand you see; 41.22 Inc. is the legal entity and merchant of record that operates the service and stands behind it. By using WatchHabit you agree to these terms.

What WatchHabit is

WatchHabit is a personal tool for cataloguing your watch collection: an on-device vault, an optional private cloud backup so you can restore on a new phone, a wear diary, an insurance-ready export, and a reference catalogue you can link your watches to — plus an optional social layer: a feed, boards, tier-rankings, and verified-owner reviews. It is for your own personal use.

Your account

• Your account is anonymous by default, tied to a secret token on your device.
• You may optionally link an email so you can sign in and restore your collection on a new device, using a one-time code we email you.
• You may optionally claim a public handle to post under on the social feed. You can still post anonymously even after claiming a handle — the choice is per post.
• Keep your device secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked phone has access to your vault; a linked email is the key to restoring your backup.

Content you post

• You own what you post. We claim no ownership of your collection, photos, posts, comments, boards, or reviews. By posting content to the social feed, boards, or reviews, you grant us the license we need to host, store, and display it back to other users as part of operating the service.
• You are responsible for what you enter and post. WatchHabit records the details you give it and does not independently verify them, with one exception: a “Verified owner” badge on a review reflects a real, server-checked fact — that you own or owned a vault watch matching that review's reference — but it does not vouch for the accuracy of anything you wrote. Insurance-style exports and any other output are only as accurate as what you entered, and are not an appraisal or valuation by us.
• Reviews. Creating a review requires that WatchHabit can verify, at the moment you create it, that your synced vault contains (or contained) the watch being reviewed. That verification is not re-checked later — selling or removing the watch afterward does not remove your review or its badge.

Acceptable use

Don't use WatchHabit to break the law, to store data you have no right to store, to attempt to reach another account's data, to probe or attack the service, to harass, impersonate, or abuse other users, to post content that isn't yours to post, to manipulate reviews or the verified-owner check, to scrape or bulk-extract data, or to abuse the backup as bulk storage unrelated to a personal watch collection. We may remove content, and may suspend or remove accounts, that do any of this — see “Moderation” below.

Moderation

We review reports filed by users through an internal tool. If we remove your content because of a report, we will notify you and, where reasonably possible, why. Blocking or muting another account is available to every user directly in the app and does not require filing a report.

Availability — an honest posture

• Your phone is the source of truth. WatchHabit works offline; the cloud backup and social features are a layer on top, not the primary copy of your collection.
• No uptime guarantee. The backup and social services are provided on a best-effort basis, “as is,” with no service-level agreement or guarantee of availability.
• We may change or discontinue any online feature. If we do, your local vault data remains yours, on your device. We'll give reasonable notice where we can.

WatchHabit Pro — pricing, billing, and cancellation

• Price: $29.99/year or $4.99/month, your choice, auto-renewing.
• Billing: Pro is sold and billed entirely through Apple's in-app purchase system. Your card statement will show a charge from Apple, not from WatchHabit, Boomerang Byte, or 41.22 Inc. directly — Apple is the payment processor for this transaction.
• Cancellation: manage or cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf, and we don't process refunds directly — refund requests are handled under Apple's own policies.
• What Pro unlocks: nothing you already have is taken away by not subscribing. Pro currently adds the insurance PDF export, a deep-analytics screen, and unlimited photos per watch (the free tier's stats tab, and its 5-photos-per-new-watch allowance, both remain free).
• Price changes: if we change Pro's pricing, we'll say so clearly and it will not affect a subscription you already hold at its current price under Apple's standard renewal rules.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• WatchHabit, its backup, and its social features are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• We are not liable for lost data. Treat WatchHabit's cloud backup as best-effort disaster recovery, not a guarantee; keep your own device backed up through normal means as well.
• We do not vouch for other users' content. Posts, comments, boards, and reviews (including verified-owner reviews) reflect the opinions of the users who wrote them, not ours; a “Verified owner” badge confirms ownership, not the accuracy of what was written.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of WatchHabit is limited, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, including the acceptable-use rules above. You may stop using WatchHabit and delete your account at any time by contacting support@watchhabit.com; your local vault data on your device is unaffected by account deletion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we'll revise the effective date and surface a notice in the app for material changes. Continuing to use WatchHabit after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
